5 Natural Habits to Skin Care

Present busy life style doesn’t allow anyone to have time for intensive skin care. Good skin care and healthy lifestyle can help you avoid various skin problems and gives a young looking skin. Here are 5 practical tips for skin care without spending time and money.

1 – Skin Protection from Sunlight

Excessive exposure to sun light leads to a wide array of skin problems like wrinkles, age spots, dark complexion and sometimes skin cancer even. It is better to seek shades especially when the sun’s rays are strongest. Try avoiding the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wear protective clothes like long sleeved shirts, long pants, wide brimmed hats and veil in cases of women. Don’t wear dark color clothes to avoid radiations. Also consider laundry additives that give clothing an additional layer of ultraviolet protection.

2 – Avoid Smoking

If you are a smoker and skin conscious at the same time the best skin care is to quit. Ask your doctor for tips to quit smoking instead of tips for skin care.

Smoking is injurious to health, and so is true for skin problems like aging and wrinkles. It narrows tiny blood vessels in outermost skin layer, which decreases blood flow and reduces the oxygen and nutrients important for skin health. Smoking also damages elastin and collagen, the fibers that gives strength and elasticity.

Shave with care

Protect and lubricate your skin by shaving cream, gel or lotion before shaving. Use a clean and sharp razor and avoid shaving in the opposite direction of the hair grow.
